Retrofitting in the conventional way is a time-consuming business. With the flat cable system, the basis for additional charging stations is established during the initial installation. Once the flat cable is installed, another connecting module simply needs to be added if required. This saves considerable installation. When rotated to the “closed” position, the unit sits flush with the surface into which it is mounted. This allows for an unobtrusive surface top when the unit is not in use.
